History

The Cornhill Group owes its origins to 1948 when Cornhill Registrars Limited was incorporated by a Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants when based in Cornhill at the heart of the City of London.

In 1971 Cornhill Registrars Limited changed its name to Cornhill Secretaries Limited and its focus shifted to the provision of Company Secretarial and Compliance Services.

The Cornhill Group was created in 2001 when Mark Lance acquired Cornhill Secretaries Limited from Moore Stephens LLP.

Mark, worked at both Moore Stephens and Stoy Hayward / BDO in the 1980s and 1990s.

He obtained a BSc(Econ) Hons from UCL in 1990 and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (now known as The Chartered Governance Institute) in 2000, becoming a Fellow in 2004.

Mark is also a Fellow of the Association of International Accountants (“AIA”) for which he also acts as a Quality Assurance Advisor and inspects AIA members for Anti Money Laundering Compliance.

Mark is also a CEDR accredited Commercial Mediator and has completed many assignments in the voluntary and commercial sectors.

Action Visas (UK) Ltd was acquired by The Cornhill Group Limited in 2002.

It provides Visa and Passport services to UK residents travelling overseas and arranges other consular services including the apostille and legalisation of corporate documents for use overseas.

It is one of the oldest Passport & Visas service providers in London.
